Currently, the most popular solutions are vehicle modifications that often cost thousands of dollars. However, this document outlines both vehicle modifications and mountable hand-controlled driving aids. According to available patents and products on the market, hand-controlled driving aids often include common features of clamps for easy installation and adjustable rods for user comfort. Some solutions also have other key features that make the product more marketable and appealing to patients with SCI and their caretakers. This research will be compiled and used to create an ideal solution that consists of the common features in all current solutions and minimize the disadvantages.
